Rosana Paulino’s work inspires me through its examination of Black womanhood, colonial violence, and historical erasure. I am especially drawn to how she incorporates sewing, embroidery, and textile-based processes as acts of repair and remembrance. Her practice demonstrates how fiber and archival imagery can confront painful histories while reclaiming dignity, identity, and voice.
